How Physical Rehabilitation Can Help

If you are worried about falling or if you recently had a fall, our physical therapists can conduct a brief check (“screening”) of your fall risk. If the screening shows that you are at risk, the physical therapist will perform a thorough evaluation using special test to measure your balance and strength.

Based on the evaluation results, your physical therapist in Utah will design an exercise and training program to improve your balance and strength. A recent systematic review of many published studies found that exercise-based programs in the home or in group settings are effective in preventing falls. These programs are especially effective when balance exercises are performed in a standing position without using much arm support.

I was pleased with the care at Rock Run. They were courteous, kind, and very professional. They pushed me hard so as to strengthen my knee, and help me get into a good place by the end of my treatments

It was a great experience, this helped me regain strength in my shoulder. Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable, they are very courteous. I will recommend to any family and friends.

— Terry E., Posted April 20, 2020

This was my very first injury in my life. As scary and unsure about how things can turn out, it was nice to have Brenda and her team be so kind and informative. I was able to schedule around work and get in when needed. I would have liked more goal and advancements in treatments from day to day, but other than that its been a great time!

— Shannon W., Posted April 20, 2020

After having a third shoulder surgery, I was apprehensive of physical therapy and the results I hoped to achieve. My treatment was better than expected and Im well on my way to a full recovery. The Rock Run team is very knowledgeable and respectful. I would come back anytime

Great visit Consistent pain that was present when I first came here is now gone. Hopefully with the exercises I have been given for home, the pain will not return.
